- Dry needling is an increasingly popular treatment modality but can seem intimidating to those who have little exposure to the modality. As the popularity and access to this treatment has increased, it is now being incorporated into AT education programs. It is important for athletic trainers to have a basic understanding of this modality so they can have educated conversations with their patients about dry needling and its appropriateness for each individual.
- By participating in this program, the participant will be able to explain dry needling as a treatment option, list the indications and contraindications as well as define the parameters needed to qualify for dry needling as a treatment.
