Biography

Dr. Shubert is a Bangor native and a Bangor High School alumnus. During his orthopaedic surgery residency, he provided care for the West Virginia University football and soccer teams, as well as help train U.S. Army Special Forces combat medics. During his sports medicine fellowship, he served as an assistant team physician for the University of Missouri football and soccer teams and as team physician for the Central Methodist University football program.

Dr. Shubert's father Jordan was one of Maine's first orthopaedic surgeons and practiced in Bangor for more than 40 years, and his sister Sarah also is an orthopaedic surgeon and practices in Portland. He is proud to be able to continue the family tradition of providing high-quality orthopaedic care to the people of Maine.

Dr. Shubert was fabulous. I was not page with him doing my procedure at first. He spent the time to talk with me the day before, over the phone. He listened to my concern's, and had every right to be upset with me, but instead he promised me he would take very good care of me. He didn't lie. He was wonderful. During my recovery his entire team has been so great each time I have seen them or needed them. I am so thankful that I went forward with him. Please let him know I am sorry for doubting him and I appreciate all he did and will continue to do for me.

The interface between Togus VA and your facility must be improved. I took extra care to be sure any scrip's were communicated to the VA Wen I went to Togus they didn't have the scripts . They, the VA pharmacy, made me go to the ER get admitted as a patient and have them order the scripts and get them sent to the VA pharmacy . I was still recovering from both the surgery and the meds used to sedate me and had to go through a very time long process to get my scrots . Please get this ironed out . The staff was exceptional and the surgeon was excellent

I didn't have a chance to explain myself or to have him look at what was actually happening. It was just like the notes he received meant more to him and nothing that I wanted to know about. So, I wasn't pleased at all. Thank you.

I had a total reverse shoulder replacement at Maine General Orthopedics. The surgery was performed by Dr. Daniel Shubert, MD. Throughout the entire process from preop appointments to now a year after my surgery, Dr. Shubert and the other folks on his team answered every question I had with straight forward answers. The surgery was a complete success thanks to Dr. Shubert and his teams outstanding care.

Dr Shubert did a fantastic job repairing my torn rotator cuff! I'm three months post surgery and the healing process has been perfect. I continue with physical therapy and expect to have full range of motion and regained strength back within three more months. I'm very grateful!!!

I understand that things happen through out the day but maybe periods should be built in for doctors to either catch up with their schedule or if they don't need it to be able to take a breather. My appointment was over an hour late simply because an earlier appointment ran very long. It was visible the dr was trying their best to catch up but sometimes in those situations lack of care can happen

I unfortunately had an accident that required a 'total reverse shoulder replacement.' Dr. Daniel Shubert performed that surgery. My progress following surgery quickly changed to one of being blessed to have received quality care from Dr. Shubert, and his Team. The use of my shoulder is 100%!

Dr. Shubert was incredibly thorough in his assessment and describing the procedure. He listened to all my questions and concerns patiently and addressed them all in a way that I felt cared for. He went the extra mile to address my pain remediation. I could not feel better about the person that will be performing this surgery. The staff member that took my vitals and the one scheduling my next appointment and surgery were also very personable and helpful. I am very impressed! Thank you.
