Dr. Jonathan Borkum is a licensed psychologist with 20 years of experience in the treatment of pain and headaches. He teaches coping and self-management of chronic pain, especially migraines and other chronic benign headaches. He has published extensively in scientific literature and citation of his writings are found in the headache treatment guidelines of the National Health Service of Scotland, the Canadian Headache Society and the Swiss Society for the Study of Pain, as well as in the current diagnostic criteria of the International Headache Society. Dr. Borkum is a member of MaineGeneral Medical Center's Professional Services Staff and has practiced locally since 1999.
