Accreditations

Several MaineGeneral Health programs and/or facilities are accredited by outside agencies.

MaineGeneral Medical Center's Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care (HACCC) in Augusta is accredited by the Commission on Cancer and the American College of Radiology.

In 2010, the HACCC became one of the first 16 cancer practices in the United States - and the first in Maine - recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) certification program. The HACCC was recertified in 2013.

The Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency, a MaineGeneral-Dartmouth Medical School collaborative residency training program for doctors specializing in family medicine, is accredited by ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) and the American Osteopathic Association.
