so far good, I go to the Maine General Hospital to get my blood drawn. I wish that there was someone there, better at it at this facility. no Disrespect.

I am beyond grateful to have Yusuf as my care provider. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

The PA that I saw was very open to listening to my concerns. He was great!

Overall I feel comfortable with the people at Oakland Family Practice.

All the people at Oakland Family Medicine have made going to the doctor's office more of a comfortable situation as I would think any doctor's appointment makes most patients anxious. Since having Yusuf Abdi as my physician my acceptance of medical procedures and keeping those appointments has greatly improved which considering my age is probably a good thing. I appreciate the open dialogue and Dr Abdi's willingness to go above and beyond to explain conditions and treatments in a way it is easily understood.

Everyone was comforting and professional and Yusuf was thorough, attentive and explained everything to my absolute understanding.

Very disappointed. I scheduled an assessment months ago and was very anxious about this appointment, only to find out the "assessment" was a 15 yes or no questionnaire, and NOW I'm scheduled for an actual assessment, which is what I was trying to do in the first place. I didn't need to wait months to come in and spend 30 seconds answering 15 very generic yes or no questions that could have very easily been done over the phone or through an email as to not waste anyone's time. I literally spent more time setting up this appointment (quickly) over the phone with staff than it took to come all the way in and answer those 15 questions. Not to mention that I'm pretty sure this appointment ate up my one free visit per year, so that also now feels like a waste. I was very anxious about this appointment leading up to it and thought I'd be getting some form of help or options, only to take this "assessment" and have to anxiously wait another few months for the next step. Again, the 15 questions that took me 30 seconds to answer could have been done over the phone or through an email so that this "assessment" process could be more streamlined. Hopefully this works out in the end but I'm also suddenly quite open to finding another place for care because what I just went through with Oakland Family Medicine was truly unfortunate and a super waste of time.

The staff is professional, caring, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Mr. Yusuf is an amazing health care provider who I trust with my health care. He always does a thorough examination and takes the time to address my needs and concerns.

At Oakland Family Medicine always a good experience. With Follow My Health, not so. Having to do the Verification Code is difficult and worse is asking you to check the My Health for a clinical item when they don't say which category in that category is so you have to check each one until you hit the right one--just name Results, Meds, etc. so it's one click away.

Oakland Family Medical, Yusuf Abdi and the staff, both in the front and in the back, are some of the most professional, kind, intelligent people that I've worked with, especially at a hospital. I'm really grateful. I can always get in when I need to, and they're attentive and take their time, and I feel valued and like I'm very informed every time I go.

The dr I had was not my usual dr but he made me feel comfortable and was well aware of my health history!

Yusuf is wonderfully supportive, kind, and provides a safe, comfortable environment whenever I visit. His medical assistant is also very welcoming and kind, and I feel in good care with both of them.

Yusuf was thorough. I felt like I was listened to and they showed empathy and respect. I felt like they included me in the decisions on how to proceed with my issue which is important to me. The front desk staff were kind and pleasant to work with as well.

So, I always feel safe and heard whenever I go. Yusuf is wonderful in helping me and going over everything. The staff is great. I really can't ask for anything more and I have told other people of this place.

Hi, I want to definitely thank the receptionist who took my call last week and got me in this past Monday. Amazing customer service and I felt very valued as a patient and my needs were definitely taken care of. Yusuf is also amazing. I hadn't seen him in such a long time and he is always charismatic and treats me very well and I really like how he went over everything with me with my anxiety and really let me know that he cared and was concerned and I was very impressed, to say the least, is what I'm trying to say. And, yep, really glad I got to see Yusuf again and I'm glad to keep being a patient. Thank you very much.

The intake person who takes your blood pressure and asks the questions before the physician says their name and always has the name tag flipped backwards so that you can't read their name. And it's just very awkward when you want to refer to them and you have to say that person. I don't know their name. Other than that, the desk people are wonderful. The care team is wonderful. So I hope that's helpful.

I think it was wonderful that I was treated like a human being, not just some patient that was just here and there. Everybody smiled, they were polite, they were professional, they knew their job, they gave me proper answers, and I love Dr. Abdi. He's absolutely wonderful. He's caring, he's polite, he's just everything. And when he said, are there any other questions that you would like to ask me now, I said yes. Can I have you forever? And he said yes, that's the plan. I am thrilled. This is a brand new experience for me in a new facility, and I am very, very pleased with what it is that I have seen so far, and I thank you so much for your help. Have a good day.

The office is fantastic. From the front desk to the medical assistants RNs the provider and the checkout front desk were fantastic.

Having the combined medical staff support has been instrumental in my mental and physical healing.

I have been seeing Yusuf for many years now. His MA has been very helpful and responds to my questions in my FMH chart and Yusuf has always greeted me in a friendly professional manner. My history is reviewed thoroughly and I receive answers to questions when asked. Yusuf will look up medical information and review it with me as needed. Also, the front desk staff have always been welcoming and assist with appointment scheduling in a friendly way.

The new facility is much nicer, overall a pleasant experience, although the waiting room smelled strongly of an artificial scent similar to cheap cologne - possibly from a diffuser or cleaning products. The medical assistant did not introduce themselves and seemed rushed and humorless, though pleasant enough. It would be nice to have my pronouns confirmed during the intake and on printed materials like the appointment summary. Dr. Abdi is one of the most genuinely caring, kind, and patient people I have ever met. Some parts of the exam seemed overly perfunctory, but that is perhaps due in part to him knowing intuitively where to place greater emphasis.
