Never get rid of Dr George

Dr. George is a life changing doctor

The front office staff and my nurse were exceptional! However, my appointment was scheduled for 9:45, I was brought wasn't seen until 11:30- for a 15 minute appointment. I feel that my time wasn't valued. It's unfortunate that all MGMC providers are being forced to see as many patients as possible verses seeing a reasonable number of patients. The focus of Healthcare should be on the QUALITY of patient care rather than the QUANTITY of patients that can be seen in a day because the expectation as a patient is to be early for your scheduled appointment or the appointment will be rescheduled because the providers time is valuable. Do better! Go back to focusing on providing quality patient care and not focusing on the quantity of patients that can be seen.

It took me 2 months to get this appointment. I don't think that is acceptable. I was having medical issues and needed this appointment sooner than that.

Dr George was very informative and explained everything in detail

Dr George is wonderful. His staff is friendly and as helpful as possible. However, the MaineGeneral system is a huge impediment to their ability to provide proper care. The IT system has serious deficiencies which make it a huge stress for me and the staff to fill my prescriptions. This has been going on for months and no one seems able to fix or even understand it, and this is completely unacceptable. Dr George is frustrated and unhappy with this as well. For now, we have a rather cumbersome workaround involving phone calls and handwritten scrips. This is completely ridiculous. Please get your IT people to do their jobs- which could mean fixing the problem, instructing the staff on how to use the system, or both.

I appreciate that I was seen at my scheduled appointment time, and did not have to sit in the waiting room for more than 10 minutes.

Dr George has been and always will be AMAZING!!!

45 minute wait for a 9:15 appointment.

I'm apart of Waterville women's care and I think the merge was awful. They are overbooking the providers. My appointments are always over an hour to 2 hours late.

It was good! The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Dr. George is great. He explains everything and is always open to questions. Makes it a very good experience.

Dr George is truly the best. He takes time to listen and really ensure quality care is provided. He is a huge asset to Maine General

I had to call multiple times to get an appointment for an annual. Started last year & was told you were joining practices and to call when the offices were merged. Dr George's staff said they couldn't schedule it. After receiving the letter about joining Med General, still had to make monthly phone calls, because the scheduling books were ready full & next month's not ready yet. I finally told the staff at ME Gen, I had missed my annual last year because of the call next month when the schedule is open & when could I expect a call from them because every month I am told they will call me when they have the next month's schedule & no one ever calls me back. I was put on hold for a while, then given an appointment. This along with the letter stating how to get my records & find another provider simply shows you wanted Dr. George, but don't have any concern for his patients.

What a wonderful experience seeing Dr George! The check-in staff were awesome, as well as the nurse! Dr George took his time with me and explained things so that I knew exactly what was going on with me. Wonderful people!

Doctor George was wonderful. He sat down with my husband and I for over 30 minutes and explained in detail my care plan as well as potential outcomes and had me leaving the office with confidence that things are going to be taken care of. We always love seeing Dr. George!

Dr George is WONDERFUL!!!! He took the time to explain my options for treatment and how they would affect my life. He answered every question I had, thoroughly, and made sure I understood. He was kind, caring and what doctors were years ago when they actually cared for the person and not the bottom line. Dr. George is the absolute best.

The reception must have a designated employee to answer phones. Despite having three employees on duty, no one has ever answered my calls. I consistently have to leave messages and receive return calls days later.

The Waterville Women's Care team is fabulous. However, the transition to Maine General has had me considering to leave. Maine General does not schedule ahead which is very inconvenient. The three OBGYNs who came over from Waterville Women Care are still amazing and are the only reason I do not leave. Maine General needs to listen to them and accommodate when needed. Scheduling needs to be extended to be able to schedule far in advanced. When someone works full time, you need to understand that. I'm unhappy with the transition and hope it becomes smoother and the three doctors who moved have input on changes that happen. I had a very horrible birth experience with Maine General staff and without Dr. George advocating for me, my daughter may not be alive today. I will not see a Maine General OBGYN unless they came from Waterville Women's Care.

While I was certainly glad to hear that my "condition" had improved, I greatly appreciated Dr. George's decision to follow it for another few months before going to an annual checkup.

Dr. George was great. He made me very comfortable and explained everything well.

Dr. George is an excellent physician-always attentive and caring. I was disappointed with the scheduling process. The scheduler-who took a long time to return my call-seemed disinterested in my needs and detached from my request to see a provider. It felt as though I were bothering her by asking for an appointment.

So far great experiences but we waited almost an hour after being taken back to see the doctor. No communication in the interim.

Dr. George has always been the best!

I did have to wait 50 mins to be seen in a very cold room. I was very chilled as I was partly undressed.

Everyone at the doctor's office are very kind and very helpful and welcoming. They also explain everything very carefully

This department of Maine General is always welcoming and accommodating. My doctor (Dr. George) takes the time to answer any questions I have without hesitation and never rushing me out the door. His staff is always courteous and friendly.

Dr George is an excellent practitioner. I've only been to the office two times. He is knowledgeable, allows for questions, and had clearly reviewed my records.

The doctor was thorough and took very good care of my son. The nurse was very nice to us . Anyone would be lucky have both of them to care for them. I knew my son was in good hands . Thanks

From the initial phone call, to check in, to my ultrasound (sweet tech had to give me some bad news), to the dr and check out. Everyone was so kind and friendly, very helpful and timely. I appreciate everyone's help and I'm sorry the ultrasound tech and Dr had to discuss such sad news. They were caring, thoughtful and so pleasant. I would highly recommend to a friend.

It needs to be standard practice to schedule a patients 20 week anatomy scan before the routine appointment. It makes no sense to have an appointment before and then come back for an ultrasound. That way what is found at an ultrasound can be discussed with the doctor right after at the real appointment. Otherwise we have to wait another 4 weeks until we see the doctor or have a nurse call us. It's completely backwards and not efficient practice and does not ease a mothers mind.

I am a patient of Dr. George's and Dr. George takes the time. He's very detailed in giving me options. He has an exceptional bedside manner and he's very thorough. Dr. George is exceptional.

Dr. William George was fantastic. He made me feel like a patient not just a number. He was calm, caring and very thorough. I would highly recommend. I am hoping he can deliver my child. The nurse I had was also very good, she was patient, listened and felt like no question was a dumb question. Very pleased with the care I have received.
