Kristin Patterson, DO

The care team is wonderful here. Unfortunately, Kristin Patterson is not. I had a new patient visit and I was surprised by the lack of attention or interest in me personally. I'm dealing with menopause and weight gain. She explained that my BMI had no significance in future diseases or illness. I am pre diabetic and I know this is not true. When I questioned her, she explained it was what insurance companies wanted me to believe. She listened to me breathe but did not check anything else physically. I do not trust her advice and will be looking for a different physician.

I've have always had awesome providers here!

I went in for a check up and Kristin was my doctor she's my new doctor and I wasn't satisfied with the visit. She wasn't very nice and didn't introduce herself which was weird cause it was our first time meeting and she just didn't make me feel comfortable and I was talking to her about some issues I was having and she just disregarded them. She never checked me either all she did was just ask a few questions. It was supposed to be a checkup and typically at checkups they will look at your back or legs to make sure there's no bumps or anything. I don't feel like I got the proper care from and it felt like she didn't about me. If it's possible to get a new doctor I would like that. The nurse that checked me in before was absolutely great I unfortunately can't remember her name but she made me cared for. I don't know if Kristin was having a bad day or anything but that's not really an excuse there suppose to be there for us and too help us.

I love how my health feels like a team effort.

Quickest no hands on annual exam ever. All because I was due for mammogram and done density tests she wouldn't schedule without discussing first even though I've had same for years...

The DO was very friendly and efficient. Right on top of things that need to be completed in a physical.

For an annual physical i found this to be very superficial. Usually have blood. And urine and vaginal.

I was delighted with this office when I first entered the waiting room the atmosphere was warm and friendly and happy. The intake nurse was wonderful and put my instantly at ease. Dr Patterson was friendly, knowledgeable and gave me plenty of time to ask questions. Compared to my previous experience elsewhere this experience was delightful and just what I hope for when dealing with my health.

I've been trying to establish a PCP since May of 2023 so this is my first experience. I was seen at my appointment time, no delays. Everyone was efficient and professional. Dr. Patterson knew details of my health history and answered all of my questions. I have a plan going forward to manage the issues we discussed. I was very pleased with the care I received.

I felt that Dr. Patterson really took the time to listen to my concerns and took them seriously, especially when it came to women's issues.

Dr Patterson was thorough and intently listened to my concerns. She reacted accordingly.

It was a good experience- My questions got answered- I did not feel rushed- I was even able to get my flu, covid and pneumonia shots which really helped simplify my life at this moment- I' ll' be seeing her in 6 months, but I forgot to ask about a mammogram and bone density test which I believe is due now.

Hello. It would be a lot better if you could talk to somebody, for heaven's sake, but I know that you're short on personnel, as usual. Anyway, Ms. Patterson is very cerebral. She is very smart, apparently. She did a thorough job of researching my case, me, and she did say she favored with seniors. However, I'm a senior, and a senior senior, and I don't find there's much of a want. I think that if she is very cerebral, she is lacking a little in want. I don't find that I would mesh with her, because she told me so, more or less as well. And I am looking for someone on my own. I think I have someone who's with this system, the Maine General.

My recent visit to Maine General was for my annual physical/wellcheck. I guess it was fine, but I felt it was very basic and could have been more thorough. Previous wellchecks with other providers encompassed a lot more.

This was my first visit with Dr. Patterson. I look forward to her being my PCP.

All Staff, the nurse, and Dr Patterson were extremely courteous and professional. The e-mail reply for an appointment came very quickly and timely!

Kristin Patterson is a wonderful, caring, concise physician. I left my previous pcp just so I could see her. Please do not let her get away.

It is a very good visit, I had a different doctor as mine is on leave. I liked Dr Patterson very much. We went over my medications and she made sure I was in agreement about a change. She scheduled me for a 3 month appointment. They are all very professional.

This appointment was unfortunately a waste of my time for a yearly physical. There was no opportunity to discuss preventive health concerns in fear of being charged additionally.

My recent appointment demonstrated that Augusta Family Medicine cares very much about their patients.

We transferred 3 generations from CMMC drs to Maine General a couple of years ago. We have been pleased with Maine General hospital. We are disappointed that it seems like there are not options for us to select drs instead of PA's or NP. This particular Dr is not a good fit, yet we don't feel there are other options so we stay with her while feeling insecure about our healthcare needs being met.

Dr. Patterson was awesome, as usual. Very good, very happy. On a completely different note that has nothing to do with Dr. Patterson, there is a problem with Augusta Family Medicine in being able to get an appointment with at least anyone, MD, DO, PA when it is urgent. Sometimes there is no available appointment for days or weeks. Then you have to go to urgent care and spend an extra $50. which would have been covered by your primary. This definitely needs improvement. Thank you.

Dr Patterson and the care team, including reception, were phenomenal

Saw someone new as my last PA left. So it will take me a bit to get used to someone new as I'm sure it will take them time to learn more about me. Hope once I make this connection I don't lose another PA. Difficult to always have a different healthcare provider.

Kristin Patterson is gentle and caring but factual and helpful. She had to have very hard conversation with me and did so with care compassion and dignity. I know our appt went over but she waited until I was completely done. She is a genius and ordered new tests to try to get more to be done for me. If all your practitioners were as good as Kristin, Maine medical level of care might be sufficient. Grateful for my time with her.

I was very impressed with my doctor. She explained everything thoroughly that I asked about and was focused on what I needed.

Dr Patterson, although familiar with my chart and very knowledgeable about my issues, was crisp, impatient and somewhat dismissive. Perhaps that's her style.

Dr. Patterson was awesome.

I was very unimpressed with my doctor. I went there to discuss menopause signs and treatment and she was no help at all. I left there feeling like I wasted my time and energy/money for my co-pay. Google helped me more than my doctor did.

This provider was not interested in patient care - only panic. I am beside myself about this particular visit. I am sick over it and still scrambling to find care while my provider is away.

Administrative staff is always, always, always so pleasant. It's amazing how pleasant they are. And Dr. Patterson has been so thorough, answers all my questions. I have no anxiety about going to the doctor at all. She's really been wonderful. Thank you.

Facility, and the staff, have always been great. Unfortunately, I think there's a personality clash between Dr. Patterson and my husband. He's here listening and agreeing with what I'm sharing. So he probably is going to look for another primary care, but the staff was fine. Thank you.

Dr Patterson is not my normal doc, but she was excellent. Very to the point, helped me make a clear and informed decision about my health while listening to and considering my fears and concerns.

Staff and nurse were outstanding. Dr. was a little abrupt. Felt she could have been more personable and asked more about me to get to know me better.

New doctor wasn't very personable

I found Dr. Patterson very professional , well informed and easy to talk with . It was obvious she reviewed my health history. All of my questions were answered and I felt confident leaving the office. I'm a Senior Citizen and Changing PCP is very stressful. Thank you Kristin

It was supposed to be a 40 minute appointment for my yearly physical, and I was in with the Dr. less than 10 minutes. It was a little surprising since it was the first visit since my other Dr. left the practice. It felt very rushed compared to previous visits.

I was a new patient. Long wait for an initial appointment. Kristin Patterson is my PCP - I was very impressed with her and with all the staff.

The appointment prior to this one I was told I was transferring to another PCP since my current one was moving away. I was told this past appointment was going to be about establishing care with this new PCP. Turns out this appointment was scheduled as a med check, had I known I would have canceled it since I stopped talking the meds that they wanted to review. But since I was there I thought I would discuss my shoulder that I have been having a problem with. The provider was not friendly with their interactions, poorly explained what they were doing, and seemed to not believe my issue. I left the appointment feeling negative about my experience. Either way I ended up getting PT for my shoulder, so I guess I still came away better than when I came in.

This was my first visit with Dr Patterson so time will tell.

Yes, I had a very good experience. This is a new doctor to me and my first visit I had all kinds of questions and she answered them all very quickly, very easily and gave me some good information.

This was my first visit & actually only there to get acquainted so answered questions as such!

I thought the questions asked were ridiculous. Are you a male or a female? Really?new doctor didn't seem like she knew anything about me unlike the other two I've had. My physical consisted of my blood pressure and what I was taking for medication. Asked if I had been vaccinated when she should have known beforehand. Checked my heartbeat and that was it.

Dr. Patterson was excellent. I've never had a doctor before that listens so intently and asks for my input in my treatment. In my opinion, she is exactly what a doctor should be. She asked great questions, looked through my chart ahead of time, and really listened to my concerns. I'm also pretty sure we went over the appointment time but I never felt rushed. I walked out of there feeling very confident. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Patterson. The front desk staff were also SUPER friendly and helpful. During check-in they made me laugh and feel comfortable. The MA was also professional and pleasant. Overall I had a great experience. Thank you AFM team!

Yes, she did very well. I like her very well. She told me all about the medicine and why I had to take this one and that one. And I felt really at ease with her. So, I like her.

Dr. Patterson does not have much of a personality and left the room abruptly after the office visit without saying as much as nice to meet you. Did not make me feel like anything but just a number not her patient.

I have not been impressed with the last two doctors I've seen. It's been very difficult to get an appointment with my PCP (over a 2 month wait). I am looking to find a new PCP and practice.

Always ready to listen and then plan how to deal with whatever it is that's going on .

It took 8 months to get a new patient appointment and it was actually canceled by the first doctor with no reason. But Dr Patterson was very nice and took time to talk to me about my concerns. I hope everything goes smoothly from here.

I am not enthusiastic about the new doctor that replaced my original physician. First visit with Doctor Patterson and I left appointment quite deflated.

Dr. Patterson is a knowledgeable physician. She knew my medical history. She gave me direction I desperately needed and is very honest and direct. However, she is very difficult to connect with. I felt she lacks compassion and empathy that is greatly needed.

As a new patient (and Mainer/American) I love my doctor. Her attitude, kindness, honesty, guidance. Dr. Patterson is the best!

Dr. Patterson took the time to hear about my current health concerns and took my conversation seriously and showed genuine concern. It was greatly appreciated.

It took a while to speak with my provider over the phone to discuss A1C results. When we did finally talk, she explained the situation well.

It was very nice. She sat there and she listened to me. I've been going through a lot lately with natural disaster, flooding in my house, and it's just up in a war, trying to find a new place, and she sat there and listened. Thank you very much.

This was a new dr for me as mine had left the facility. Not sure how I feel about this one. I need one that will listen to my concerns where it is MY heath and not cut me off. At one point I had to actually say...ok moving on.

I was impressed when Dr. Patterson mentioned things that were in my file which indicated she had read it all. I felt like we were partners in my health care and not her mandating treatments. Very knowledgeable and inspired trust.

My concern is not having access to medical professionals who are better educated about my particular condition of hEDS. There are very few resources and the condition effects practically every area of my health. I'm not feeling hopeful about improving my health or getting the best care living with hEDS.

my regular provider has left the practice and I had someone new... very nice and it is hard having someone who you don't know and she doesn't know me. She was very nice and explained everything very well.

I got in on time, no waiting period, and I like my new doctor, Dr. Patterson, very much.

We were early for our appointment and the admissions staff was very busy. I have already received notice from CAREMARK that our prescriptions are in the mail. Dr. was very experienced with my symptoms and how to treat them.
