The staff were awesome, I received excellent care from the start to dismissal.

This one planned was good. The previous visit was poor. That was after early 8 am visit to Express Care Gardiner with thumb infection, (1.5hr) sent to ER Maine General. Was there 10am until 5pm after being left in E visit (2.5 hr,) then lone room (2 hours), port put in arm staff (1.5 hr ) no one before lost track of time but around 3pm probably fell asleep fnally 5pm told staff unhook me I'm going home. They did I left. Unacceptable.

My meeting with Joshua Hughes was an incredible experience. My wife and I came armed with questions for the post op meeting. Josh gave complete and clearly understandable answers to all our questions. We left our meeting with Josh feeling absolutely confident that all was well with my post operative healing! You need as many Joshua Hugheses as you can put on staff. Technically competent but equally important, able to communicate clearly to patients regarding their procedures.

Staff members were all very personable and friendly with both myself and family.

Josh was extremely caring, understanding, explained everything the way that I could understand, helpful, friendly and I felt he cared about me and what I have been through. I can't say enough how grateful I felt when I left the office.

Overall great experience for the circumstances. From my first visit till my last everyone has been professional, helpful, and thoughtful. From making a plan, treatment, surgery, and to recovery I couldn't of asked for a better team. The facility was also clean and looked great. Thank you. I wish the VA operated as great as yall do.

I spent a few weeks there. Today was just a follow up visit. I cannot thank the staff enough. I was in CCU then one west. The care I received from various doctors and nurses literally saved my life. I am so thankful to still be here and I owe it all to everyone who helped care for me during my stay. Because of them my children still have their mother. Thank you for everything!

The follow up after surgery was a waste of time

Everyone we encountered at the Surgery Center was outstanding!!!!!! You made me feel like a human, everyone introduced themselves, every appointment was right on time! Check-in was especially nice and the RN was helpful with questions over the phone. Joshua was great with the post op appointment, discussing what I should expect, what I can and cannot do, and he was very personable. Thank you to all!!!!!!

The receptionist and the nurses were very nice. The PA never even looked at his incisions to see if everything was healing properly. You know, he was not impressed with that. Thank you.

The entire staff have been excellent with my care from day one. I have had to make multiple visits until my recent surgical procedure. Honestly, I'm going to miss everyone. Thanks so much for all the friendly check-in faces, nurses, and doctors. The list is so long and wish I knew everyone. Keep doing what you do, it is greatly appreciated. Love you all.

Had so much fun, son has Down syndrome and didn't know how appointment was gonna go, but the Doctor and my son joked and laughed and hugged and it totally made this appointment a fun one for him.... THANKS SO MUCH!!

More painless pull staples than I thought.

I was treated with respect staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend Maine General.

Everyone was extremely friendly and caring.

Was supposed to be seeing my own surgeon. Didn't find out I was seeing a PA until that day. Nobody could answer why I was not seeing my surgeon after a week of having the surgery suddenly the surgeon arrived in the room he is very pleasant but does not give people a lot of time

I had an emergency appendectomy. When coming out of anesthesia, none of my family or husband was allowed in the room. I was totally out of it looking for a familiar face and being given discharge instructions I most definitely did not remember. It would have been EXTREMELY helpful to have my husband there so I didn't feel lost waking up and they could have given him all of the information which would have been way more appropriate than telling someone who was just under anesthesia and on heavy pain meds. They did call and talk to him but it would have been less scary and confusing to have a family member there as I was abruptly woken up, told I need to get dressed and that I am leaving. Otherwise it was a good experience.
