Professional and thorough

My biggest concern is that I'm used to having a doctor manage my health issues overall. I don't feel that's going on this time. I feel it's being left up to all the physician assistants. I'm wondering if there's a doctor even somewhere on site or are they 100 miles away?

After showing up in person to get an app 6 weeks earlier than original one, I was very happy with Sierra's attentive listening, neurological testing , willingness to rule out any blood issues. The front desk lady was extremely patient and helpful. The lab girl was so skilled taking blood sample. I more than appreciate the caring with minimal hassles.

This may have been the best experience I've ever had there. I felt as if I was being heard and my issues did not go unaddressed. I only go to the doctor for wellness visits or if the problem is major. Thank you!

My appointment with Sierra Sirois was amazing she is excellent and I am so thrilled to have her helping me thru my health journey. Today I had a mammogram and I was not happy with the women who did my mammo was very cold and quick. Not like i normally experience when having a mammo. I was checking in when she came out called my name once and walked back in and closed the door. The people sitting in the waiting room were as shocked as i was. When I was able to find someone to let me in she never apologized just seemed annoyed. Definitely not what I am use to with my mammograms at maine general

Every experience I have had with these PSR's At Gardner family medicine hasn't been good.. These ones are not friendly, not helpful, Don't get notes back to the doctors when asked, They lied about what they need to put in the system(I used to be a PSR, for ME General, when they asked me for more information that I KNOW I didn't need to give them) they insisted I told them or they couldn't schedule me. there has been so many other issues I have had with them in the past year. With just this experience this is what happened.. The new PA I was working with was AMAZING soooo friendly, so helpful and very smart!

Both Sierra Sirois and the RN actually listened to my problems. Then calmly recommended methods and people to help me cope with issues causing stress. Great job for both of them.

Sierra made me feel comfortable and at ease even though I was there because I have pain in both of my breasts. She was thoughtful in the way she approached me, both physically and emotionally. Sierra is one of the most professional and supportive medical care providers I've ever met with.

I have referrals related to my condition which I was told I would be contacted within two weeks. If not contact MaineGeneral. With the referral being part of MaineGeneral it seems two weeks is excessive. I can understand having to wait two weeks for a followup appointment, but just to be contacted? If the appointment is two weeks after that I could spend a month with the pain which prompted me to call in the first place. In my opinion that's not acceptable.

My appt. with the PA was very very satisfactory!! I was really impressed with how thorough she was with me and very personable!! I really enjoyed the visit and feel that she has recommended tests that I need to get to the bottom of my problems. Felt very at ease with her.

She was genuine and kind and made she she covered all of my concerns and I left with such a good feeling like I was really being taken care of. When I first went there it took a long time to get a Dr I believe it was because I didn't have a Dr. To start with. Who knows.

I was pleasantly surprised! I don't visit often, and I was very concerned about my symptoms. Reception responded to my concerns and got me right in. The provider, new to me, was incredible. She listened intently to my experience and concerns, put my mind at ease with a clear, concise plan. Made a plan for follow-up and notified me as results came in. I felt listened to and supported. I was so pleased and relieved that I was able to be seen quickly and by such a thoughtful, thorough provider. Good work, Maine Gen!! I really hope this is more the norm than the exception.

I had to wait 25 minutes PAST my scheduled appointment time. When I asked the staff at check in I got I am on the phone. Provider came and got me a few minutes later.

This was my first time seeing Sierra. She has been wonderful to work with. She is very prompt and also follows up very quickly. I also had an X-ray the day of my appointment and expected to be waiting an hour or more. I was taken into X-ray within 5 minutes. All around impressed with the service. The wait to check in or to get through on the phone can be a bit long (up to 15 minutes) as well as the initial wait for the appointment but everything else has been great.

The PA I saw felt very disjointed. I was there for further concerns retarding medical issues and she seemed under the impression I was there to get results. I don't feel the concern is being taken seriously, despite referrals being sent. It felt as if she was writing me off. She wrote me a prescription for medication that I said I didn't want(I'm taking it to see if it'll help). She didn't really go over any of my concerns or ask more in depth questions. It was quick, though, and I got a referral. Check out staff was also not great. I stood there for 5 minutes with them ignoring me before the check IN staff told me they could help me. I don't remember her name but she checked me in and out. Please let her know she's amazing! All in all, as a Healthcare worker myself I am disappointed in my level of care and the seeming disconnection from patients/concerns. As a surgical scheduler I ask for, and obtain, more medical background for scheduling than the PA who saw me to give me care. She was nice and I'm sure had it been communicated what I was ACTUALLY there for she would have been prepared but it was clear no communication had occurred between providers, nor does she have access within my chart to see messages with other providers.

Sierra Sirois did a great physical exam and asked many questions about my issues. She made a great plan and gave me detailed instructions for stretching exercises. The entire encounter was great.

Ms. Sirois helped me with all my issues including one I did not know I had.

I never get bills. I have been going to Gardiner Family for at least 22 years. Since the move to the urgent care location things are not as smooth. When you call the front desk and they say someone will call you nobody does. This year I called with extreme stomach pains and I was going to go to the ER and lady on phone said wait and I will have a triage nurse call you. Nobody ever did. Also I sent a message through the portal this year someone called me about 5 weeks later. Billing needs major help. I never get a bill and they send it right to collections. I work for the State and dozen of people say the same thing. I try to go to portal to pay and it says "enter amount to pay" but doesn't say what is owed. I will say Sierra Sirois was absolutely fabulous!!!!!

Sierra was kind and clear. Easy to talk to and I was very pleased with our visit. She was prompt with relaying results to me, which I appreciated!
