I have always had good experiences with everyone at express care and everyone is kind respectful and knowledgeable! I've gone in with migraines that have lasted days, and most recently a sinus infection and I know I'm getting accurate diagnosis and care.

It crowded and I almost left. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes and felt well taken care of. So glad I stayed!

I will be getting a new patient packet to try to get a dr at Elmwood. The NP and FNP's and RN were all great both times I was there. Thank you

They where very helpfull

No one called me with test results. I had to call like three days later to get them. So that was a little disappointing considering the positive. I mean, I needed a prescription. Thanks.

Everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful.

I called before I came to ask how late X-ray department was open so I wouldn't make a wasted trip. I was told it was open until 730. I asked again X-ray was open as late as express care and was told again yes. When I checked in I specifically said I needed an X-ray because I thought I had broken my toe and because I'm diabetic I needed to have it x rayed. That would have been the perfect time to mention I wouldn't be getting it there today. All of the members of the staff I interacted with were extremely friendly. However BEFORE I wasted both my time and theirs someone should have told me it was too late for an X-ray. There was no way I was spending an hour at express care to turn around and head to the hospital. I was so mad when I left I never went for that X-ray. I have always had exceptional care when I have gone to express care. I received great care this time too, but I was just so mad at wasting everyone's time. Especially when I called ahead to make sure I was good to go.

The service I came in for, I never got. When I left there, I went to another hospital.

I went in for an ankle injury, the provider never asked me to remove my sock until my mother suggested she look at my ankle. She touched my ankle in one spot and asked if I wanted an x ray. She did not move or ask me to move my ankle. She didn't do anything other than touch my ankle in one spot and ask if I wanted an xray. Very disappointed in my care.

Quick and comprehensive

In my case I was in and out fairly quickly the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. I've been coming here for years, and plan to keep doing so.

Went in for a simple eye infection, after regular offices had closed in the evening. Was seen quickly by a provider and was able to get prescription eye drops the same night, which was the reason for going to Urgent Care. Very happy with the care I received and being able to start medication quickly.

Wicked Good people

My regular PCP was not available for 4 days so It was suggested to me to try Express Care. I did. My right knee was so swollen I could not bend it. Alex sent me to Xray for 3-4 xrays. That went well. Later she gave me her dianosis based on the xrays. I felt it was a reasonable diagnosis based on facts. I followed her advice to use Ace bandage and ice pack. Two days later I could bend it OK, and the swelling has not returned. I also followed her advice to get a follow up appointment with my PCP in a week. I have done that. I am very pleased with my visit, because it solved my problem and gave me a dianosis.

Express Care always provides the best care! I always say that! I think they offer the best care at MaineGeneral! All other departments should follow their example!

I was pleasantly surprised when the problem I came in for was immediately dealt with. Everyone was kind and listened to me and dealt with my issue without any obvious judgment. What a breath of fresh air!

From the staff at the registration desk to the medical assistant who took my vitals, and the PA who removed the debris from my eye, everyone treated me with kindness and kept me well-informed. I was in and out of Express Care in less than 30 minutes.

I was pleased with the speed of help. Will go there again if I need medical care.

The nurse practitioner was wonderful, excellent bedside manner,Talked to me like I was somebody, this one is going somewhere in live. Hope I see her again.

I presented with something in my eye and was in obvious pain and distress. I can say enough good things about everyone who I came into contact with from checkin through the triage nurse and finally to Alex to clean my eye. They were fantastic. I am from out of town - there on business and they treated my quickly and with great care. Thank you to all who assisted me.

Dr. Alex, I think her last name is Lucas, was so good, so helpful, and I loved the follow-up from her after I had my ultrasound. I've never been to an express care where they've done that. So I will definitely keep going to Gardner Express Care before I would the emergency room or any other. So thank you for great service.

Very thankful this is an available option when I can't get in to see my PCP.

The checkin line has a blind spot. We were standing and waiting when a receptionist was available. We just couldn't see her. The one who could see us did instruct us to go down further, and one waiting didn't get up to move the line along even though it was very clear there was a line of patients waiting for help. A nurse finally walked out and instructed us to go around the corner.

The nurse who initially examined me was awesome...very compassionate and caring. Took the time to get me an ice pack and make sure I was comfortable before she left, even though they were busy.

The lady that registered me was very caring and supportive. The nurse that took me to the exam room was very nice room. A lady came took me to Xray, which went well and told me what to do to return to the exam room. The PA was wonderful and told me everything showed ok on my Xray and to make sure to keep my appointment with the doctor that week.

Alexandria is a valuable resource as well as caring and competent professional. She quickly pinpointed a rash I had as an allergic reaction to a med prescribed by my own doctor. She suggested I verify her diagnosis with my dermatologist and he concurred immediately. How I wish she could be my PCP.

Thank you for your thoughtful, caring, and thorough examination, diagnoses, and plan of treatment. The wait was not too long and all staff was very helpful! My biggest disappointment was learning that Winthrop's Express Care, Lab, and Radiology Departments had closed.

Very professional and friendly!

The PA that I saw was very helpful and knowledgeable about what was going on. She treated me with respect and even sent in multiple refills on my rescue inhaler knowing that I was between PCPs and couldn't get anymore after I ran out of the one I currently have.

Very compassionate, and everyone actually spoke to you or smiled. Not one person had attitude or was stressed out. The facility was very busy that day and was so surprised that everyone was so nice. Wish they were my primary.

I'm so sorry to hear that the urgent care is closing in Winthrop. It was so easy to access and the staff was wonderful. I didn't have a long wait time, but now I'll have to travel to Augusta or Gardner if you receive this service and it's inconvenient. It really was nice to have the urgent care right here in Winthrop and the staff is wonderful. I'm so sorry they're closing. I wish they weren't. That's all.

My only concern was that the PA didn't do an exam or listen to my heart or lungs, and just felt rushed.

I enjoyed everything about my stay at the hospital, my visit, except waiting in the waiting area was long and I didn't think it had to be. That's the one thing that was not great. Otherwise the care and the people and the atmosphere was extremely good. Thank you.

I always have the best experience here. They are quick to get me in, see the DR, and check out. Everyone is friendly and I never feel like they arent listening to all my health concerns! This is a great place to come when you arent feeling well.

Absolutely stellar experience, as was the last time when I visited the Augusta location. This time in Gardiner, the check in staff helped fix and update several corrections on my profile, and did so with haste and friendliness. Then when we were done, teeth directed me to the waiting area, I walked in, grabbed a cup of water and before I had a chance to pick a seat, I was called. The staff that checked my vitals and transcribed my issues again was very friendly and worked with haste but I never felt rushed or unheard. The physician that saw me checked my ears, and prescribed what worked the last time this happened. Very thorough, listened when I had questions and again very friendly. I tend to avoid writing reviews, almost as much as I avoid Doctors, but I think that's changed after my visit. I'm glad I have care I can trust with people that I feel like might actually care for me. I hope you share this with the staff, because they deserve all the kudos.

Excellent interactions with everyone, from the person who registered me to the intake nurse to the PA. I had not had occasion to use Express Care before this, and would not hesitate to use it again, or recommend it to others.

Everyone from checkin staff, MA and provider were extremely nice and I knew I was in great hands!

The staff that checked me in was excellent, knowledgeable and helpful with questions I had. Alex and the entire care team are assets to your facility. Alex diagnosed me, explained the medication and sent it to the pharmacy. She also answered my questions about passing the virus on to others. Very helpful.
