I found Dr. Blanchard to be extremely professional, caring, understanding of an elderly woman and her needs. I do not want to see her leave the practice as so many other doctors seem to be doing lately. She, I was a teacher, I would give her an A+. Thank you.

Catherine Blanchard was professional and competent. Instead of kicking the can down the road she confidently addressed the situation immediately by removing the pressure treated splinter. Previous visits to ER and outpatient just resulted in antibiotics and X-rays. She was ready to remove it! Would definitely recommend Catherine and Maine General orthopedics to anyone!

I arrived a few minutes late for my appointment and they took me right in and she was very, very good. She was very friendly. She was very informative. She was very professional and it didn't take but a few minutes to understand everything that was going to happen and I was very pleased with the outcome. I was very happy.

That a new patient should not have to wait almost 6 months to get an appt. even after having to cancel a previous 1st appt.,for Covid restrictions! Then to find out the Dr. didn't realize that it was taking that long to get an appt. I was willing to see anyone, by the way!

The doctor was so very professional. She made it seem like it was just easy to do and she made me laugh the whole time. So I'd go back to her anytime and I recommend her anytime to anybody. Thank you.

No complaints. Everyone did seem to be in a rush. I really liked the doctor. I was really happy that I could be examined, have X-rays done, diagnosis given and shots given all in the one visit.

There seemed to be a debate between the two care givers in the room about what kind of cyst I had. It's a bit troublesome to get two people telling you two differing things.

I felt that the whole health care team was very compassionate and helpful and took the time to really comfort me when I didn't have the news I had hoped for.

Catherine was very informative and I would feel comfortable returning. The front desk check-in is confusing and needs better signage to inform patients of the proper protocol. Several people came in later, yet stepped up before those waiting.

She was very clear on what I had to do in order to get well sooner than later. Made it clear that if I push my recovery I could potentially make it worse. Helped me understand my situation and injury.

Yeah, she had called me the day after I saw her, the doctor and nurse practitioner, and very concerned about me and my elbow. I just couldn't believe it. She wanted to make sure I was taking my medicine, that I picked it up and I was taking it. Not too many people do that. So I want you to give a good pat on the back for that. Thanks.

All of the staff I have encountered at this practice from has been friendly, extremely knowledgeable, they are very patient and caring to make sure you understand what is going on with your health and what steps to more forward to fix the problem.

The discussion was short and seemed predetermined as non surgical despite the information not being given ahead of the visit. Also the provider didn't actually answer a very important question about what surgeons office would be pertinent to contact since they wouldn't perform it.

Catherine Blanchard and the whole Ortho team who treated me were a breath of fresh air after what I had been experiencing medically. They were very thoughtful, professional, thorough, and considerate. They listened to my concerns regarding potential additional injuries, and ordered the appropriate tests. The results were conveyed, and indeed there are more injuries. It was the first time in 2 weeks someone listened to my concerns, and didn't treat me like an old lady complaining about nothing. Being treated with respect and grace makes all the difference!

I've been in the care of these fabulous folks for several years...for shoulders, hand, and thumbs. EVERY person - from check-in to physician are pleasant, professional, accommodating, humorous, and a bunch of other good stuff. I'm most grateful.

My experience with Catherine was terrific! She listened carefully and responded clearly regarding my shoulder/bicep injury. She even reached out to one of the surgeons to provide me with more clarity. We set a course for action to move forward to address the injury. I followed up with questions the next day and she again conferred with another surgeon and got back to me with additional information. I could not be more pleased with my experience. Catherine is just wonderful. She explained that I do have options, and that no one needs to live in pain! Wow, such a thought had me reeling! Awesome. Then she explained my options. I am following up on those in a couple months. I am so grateful for the expert care and will meet with the surgeon to follow up in 2 months.

Yes, Catherine took me right in. I had no appointment and she was fantastic.

I was hesitant that my doctor could help with my arthritis pain in my thumb. Since it became inflamed, it has hurt at a 7/8 constantly. She assessed my situation and determined that cortisone treatment was the best choice for me. It burned awful for hours. I was growling and swearing and seriously considering not returning, however, a few hours later I realized the buttering stopped. That was much better. The pain was down to a 2/3. The next day, I woke up and didn't even need to take the Advil and the only pain I felt was the headache from only sleeping 3 hours due to my insomnia. So since then my thumb and wrist have barely hurt. I'm pleasantly surprised and hopeful that it lasts for months like he said it would. Thank you
