Erik O'Connell, DO, FACP, CCD, RhMSUS, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained rheumatologist who treats patients at MaineGeneral Rheumatology, which he joined in October 2023. He cares for patients with arthritis and autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, gout and osteoarthritis. Dr. O'Connell also has a clinical interest in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for real-time evaluation of joint health and for guidance during procedures to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Before joining MaineGeneral's active medical staff, Dr. O'Connell practiced at St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston.
