Thanks to all the people who took care of me before, during and after the surgery. Doctor Kumar for second time is taking a good care of me and ending my suffering .Thank you all of you from the bottom of my heart.

Stop asking the question if I would recommend your facility as I have not had the surgery. But mostly because it's not something I do nor do a lot of other people!

I SO appreciated how caring they both were about my concerns (both the doctors assistant and the doctor) IT SO MATTERED TO ME AND MY HUSBAND!!

While on vacation in the area I started experiencing a lot of stomach pain and ended up in your ER and had my gall bladder removed. The care I received was 2nd to none the Doctors were great the nursing staff was excellent! The cleaning staff was 1st rate and also the food and the people who brought it . The people that took me for tests and the techs who performed the tests were all very professional and friendly. I have nothing to say but how great my experience was at your hospital . 5 stars for sure

We have ALWAYS been over the top satisfied with Thayer Campus! My husband and I have both had day surgeries and we've utilized the ER multiple times for our children. We drive the extra mile to go there vs Maine General which is closer for us. We LOVE LOVE LOVE Thayer! Keep up the good work! ??

Dr. Kumar was very professional and thorough with his explanation of the umbilical hernia and the options to repair and recovery.

The surgeon , Dr Nanda Kumar, was very clear with his findings , and how we are going to proceed to help me get well!!! I was very comfortable and have a lot of faith with him!

I was delighted with my visit. The number I was given to schedule my surgery was not useful at all. I called and was put forth to other contacts and that was not helpful either. It seemed to be a runaround to me. I was very disappointed in that. Otherwise, I was very delighted.

The doctor carefully explained everything involved explaining the pros and cons. If I decide to go the route of surgery he is the doctor I want.

I was 5 minutes late so Girl out front called him to ask if he could still see me. I was pleased but didn't expect my wait time was an hour long. My daughter and I heard him go into the next room and say my name but, knowingly it wasn't me he stayed in that Patients room. He was running behind ,, I knew 2 of the other Patients,, 1 I know was disappointed,, he rushed her Visit,, she was in pain and shocked by his diagnosis,, he didn't take enough time with her.

I thought everyone was very nice.

I appreciated how Dr. Kumar explained what is happening, with the reoccurrence of my hiatal hernia, both in words & illustrations. I also appreciated his telling us the truth, there are more risks with a second surgery, to repair the hernia again. He indicated it's more complicated and hard for both the patient, as well as the surgeon. I felt his compassion & understanding. I appreciated his taking time to go through his explanations with us. I felt he was being honest & truthful. That was important to myself & my husband. This visit made me feel more confidence in him as my doctor. I really feel he cares about his patients. It was an informative & helpful visit. Thank you Dr. Kumar

Would have liked to have some basic questions answered in my discharge paperwork...i.e. how long are you expected to wear the post op bra 24/7...how long should you wait to resume prior level of exercising , sports, etc.... what to expect when examining your incisions...as a former nurse the dermabond was still new to me, and some quidelines would have been nice to know...can you start sleeping on your side after surgery if comfortable, or should you wait...when your MD enters your exam room, all these questions don't come to mind, and with a quick exam and exit, didn't get them answered. When asked about the bra later, the answer was 2-4 weeks, which I do not consider a good answer. The nursing staff should also look at their patient closely, and provide a gown big enough so its not embarrassing trying to hold it closed while waiting for MD. Surgical work was awesome, found Dr. Kumar really great to work with, and would recommend him in a minute.

All my nurses my doctor (Dr. Kumar), the anesthesia doctor and patient registration was Fabulous to me.

I had to register answer typical questions to see the dr for pre op. He sent me for blood and EKG. I had to register again for blood..take a number and wait..same questions that should already be in system..on to EKG..again register. Same questions....this is rediculous

Just hope that I can get the surgery that I need and the doctor that's all me will do it after I go through all these tests cuz God knows I need the surgery bad

Dr. Kumar was beyond helpful during my consultation. He examined my problem expertly and listened to all my concerns. He offered a variety of treatment options and made me feel comfortable about the next steps to come. The care I received from him is the best experience I have ever had from a doctor

U hated having to check in with 3 different receptionist and answerthe same wuestion 3 times. It would be nice if you could see one receptionist and get a bracelet to be scanned at any other test sight you go in thd hospital.
