I was referred by my pcp because I wanted to try to avoid surgery on my hand. The doctor asked me why I was Seeing a surgeon if I didn't want surgery. I thought that was rude and a very poor first impression. I was there because my PCP sent me. I didn't realize the dr was just a surgeon.I thought it was just an orthopedic office and I would get directions to care for my issues. He did give me good information, but seemed put out about me not jumping to surgery.

Dr Thaller was absolutely right about the diagnosis and treatment. My finger felt much better after the treatment, much less pain by that evening and the next morning. Thank him for me.

I was not informed that this was not a surgical facility and found out that in order to remove a part in my hand that I have to go to Augusta to have the surgery done. That is a double visit and double billing for my insurance. I really do think that people need to be specific when they make appointments and tell you what to expect because I was completely not anticipating that. Thank you.

I was disappointed at first because it took 3 months to get an appointment and then 2 weeks before it the Orthopedic office called and canceled due to the doctor could not be in that day. But someone would call with a new appointment; so, I waited almost 2 weeks and no call to me so I called and left a message. I got a call back and an appointment the next day. Once I got to the office, every one was attentive and nice and helpful and Dr Thaller quickly made a good plan of treatment. Thanks

I had been to Dr. Thaller several years ago. He did some hand surgery for me and the whole staff and everyone was wonderful at that time. Dr. Thaller is a great guy and the staff and Dr. Thaller were all very, very good.. Thank you.

I had testing done prior to this appointment and the Dr did not look at it before coming in to see me. He even told me he had not yet looked at it.

They had a opening in their schedule and give me a call so I was able to get the treatment done early. The staff was very caring and concerned about my comfort thought out the treatment and after. Thank you very much.

Hi, I was very politely received by the personnel. Everything was as I expected. Dr. Thaller was excellent in his discussion of therapy and carried out an injection of my trigger finger, the small finger, and it has seemed to get better and I expect it will get better as always has after every one of his treatments in the past. I would give the facility and Dr. Thaller a 10 out of possible 10 for a positive result, positive recommendation.

Dr was very helpful. He explained my options! I didn't know that there was a brace available for my thumb. I am trying it now and will see about the surgery at end of 6 weeks.

All where friendly, and they work well as a team. Very impressed!

I felt comfortable from the moment I went into the office. Everything that was to be done was explained completely to me. I felt very much a part of what was going on. Dr. Thaller even helped me on with my jacket and handed my purse to me when the procedure was over. He certainly is a gentleman.

That team is on point, can I give them 200 stars? The appointment was early. Everyone arrived super quick. Doctor gave me all my options. They can now take of it in office. I'm so happy with everything!!!!

My visit with Dr. Thaller was very good. He involved me with my care decisions, and offered more information I hadn't thought about. It was good to be able to see him sooner than was originally scheduled. I was not a new patient, but the Maine General system treated me as such.

When I asked questions about my treatment, the Doctor wasn't quite so open as I had hoped. I have never broken a bone before. I seem to be a little naïve about what I am supposed to do. I felt like he didn't care about my treatment or me. The team however were very supportive and kind. He never told me or showed me where I broke my wrist or how bad it was.

Talking with Dr. Thaller was a breath of fresh air. I went into this appointment worried about my experiences not being believed and possibly being judged for forgoing getting help for this issue sooner, but Dr. Thaller was already familiar with my history and was prepared to talk to me about options for helping me. There was not one word of judgement from him or the team that I wasn't able to seek help for my carpal tunnel syndrome sooner, just the right amount of sympathy that I have been dealing with symptoms and pain for so long. I also really appreciated the nurse who acted as my care team for the day. She was wonderful as well. She made sure that my medication list was up to date, but she also chatted with me and that alone eased some of my anxiety. She has had carpal tunnel surgery in the past, done by Dr. Thaller, and she made sure that I knew exactly what to expect at all stages, from receiving my appointment information in a large, plain envelope to telling me what it will feel like to get the surgery, and even showed me the scar from her surgery to show that it most likely won't be very noticeable a couple of years out. She even asked me what I do for work to tailor the information she gave me about what I can expect in the days and weeks after surgery. Overall, this was a great experience, I'm very happy with the team and I have already recommended the practice to a friend who has been suffering with carpal tunnel syndrome for years who has struggled to be taken seriously despite a clear history of symptoms.

Dr. Thaller prescribed a new splint for my thumb, but I was not given instruction on fitting it. It was not fitted by the technician. And it's not terribly comfortable.

There was no recording device nor was there a computer terminal available to review x-rays with patient and to transcribe patients or doctor's observations during my visit with Dr. Thaller. The summary provided by Dr. does not reflect points patient discused with Dr. concerning right hand including carpal tunnel and radial nerve entrapment surgery. No plan of care provided in write up provided by Dr. two days after appt in Maine Health portal.

the staff was great .. the doctor was ok. went in for pain that I've had for months and I was told nothing they could do .. told me to do things that I've been doing for months.. so I'm still in pain and from what I got from the doctor was "live with the pain" (he didn't say that but it was the impression I got)

Surgery room was very clean and neat Looking. Everyone used care in garments and protection for me. Dr. Thaller and his assistants did very well by me. I'm very satisfied.

The staff and doctor were very helpful and friendly. They answered my questions and also gave me options to my plan of care.

Dr. Thaller and his team were great. Had a tendon release performed in office procedure suite. So much better then going to the hospital to, have this performed.
