Dr. Steven Diaz is an emergency medicine physician and MaineGeneral Health's (MGH) Chief Medical Officer. He is staff to the MGH Medical Executive Committee and MGH Board of Directors. His clinical interests include system of care for care transitions; primary care transformation and team-based care; time-sensitive care including STEMI; trauma, sepsis and stroke; quality metric development and enhancement including patient experience; and shared decision making. Dr. Diaz is involved in many of MaineGeneral's health care quality initiatives and has practiced locally since 1993.
