Led by Medical Director Nicholas Gallagher, DO, our practice's core philosophy is based heavily on the principles of harm reduction, and we feel strongly that treating patients with dignity and respect leads to a better treatment experience and better patient outcomes. We approach our daily work with this in the forefront of our minds.

We provide compassionate, evidence-based care for the treatment of substance use disorder to the members of our community. Although we have touched many lives, there still is a great need for these services. We are working hard, every day, to expand our reach.

Please give our office a call. Our addiction medicine physicians will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan that focuses on diagnosis, treatment and relapse prevention.

Individualized treatment plans are developed through one-on-one appointments with your medical staff. Treatment plans may include:

Medications for the treatment of substance use disorder including long-acting injectable medications (ie Vivitrol, Sublocade)
Individual counseling
Recovery groups
Patient navigator support

Insurance/Payment

We are dedicated to caring for everyone 18 and older, regardless of ability to pay, and accept most Maine private insurance plans, Medicare, MaineCare and TriCare. We will submit insurance claims for you.

We expect co-payments at the time of service and accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. If you have questions or concerns about your bill, please call us.
