Outpatient Counseling

We support you in working on mental health, substance use or trauma issues.
MaineGeneral Counseling is a program of MaineGeneral Community Care.
All MaineGeneral Counseling services are confidential and our staff has extensive experience and training in dealing with such issues as:
- Substance use disorders
- Depression/mood disorders
- Anxiety
- Trauma, PTSD
- Family/relationship challenges, co-dependence
You'll have an intake and assessment with the same staff person who will provide your counseling. Treatment length and type are individualized to meet your needs.
MaineGeneral Community Care's counseling program offers focused care - called Outpatient Plus - if you're addressing opiate use disorder.
We accept MaineCare, Medicare and most private insurances and have a sliding scale available for those who are eligible.

We also provide access to help with substance use disorder through our Outpatient Medication-Assisted Treatment Clinic. This is a SUBOXONE® non-Methadone, clinic.
