After-Hours & Emergency Care

For medical emergencies on Colby’s campus, call (207) 859-5911. For after-hours care of non-emergency health concerns, you can go to MaineGeneral Express Care at 211 Main Street in Waterville.

Referring a Student for an Appointment

We are happy to talk with concerned others (parents, faculty/staff, peers) about our services, but we require students to contact us directly to schedule their own appointments.

Contact Information, Hours & Appointments

Clinic appointments can be scheduled by phone (207-861-6860) during office hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Appointments are available during these times as well.

Cancelling & Rescheduling Appointments

You can cancel and reschedule appointments by calling 207-861-6860. Please notify us 24 hours in advance, when possible. This opens up your appointment time to other students.

Prescription Delivery

Oakland Pharmacy provides medication delivery service to the Colby College campus. Any prescription can be filled through Oakland Pharmacy, including those ordered by clinic staff.

For delivery of monthly maintenance medications previously filled at another pharmacy, contact Oakland Pharmacy. Their staff can transfer and deliver your prescription to campus for your convenience. Call Oakland Pharmacy at (207) 465-4440 for more information, or visit https://savagesdrug.com/colby.

Cost & Billing

Colby College will pay up to $45 per copay per visit for students who have provided their copay information. Any remaining amount owed will be billed directly to the student, who must work with their insurance company on all claims.

Colby College Payment Program

Colby has a payment program for co-pays and some confidential services. If you qualify and choose to use that program to pay for eligible costs, Colby may receive limited information about your medical care.

If you are eligible and use Colby’s payment program:

  • Copays:
    • Colby pays for copays at the time of your service using a credit/debit card.
    • Your name, medical record identifier, and visit number are included on the receipt. A reason for your visit is not included.
    • Colby will receive a receipt for this payment and they will see this payment on their bank statement.
  • Confidential Visits/Services:
    • You and your clinician can discuss the option of making your visit a "confidential service" and whether or not it qualifies as a visit that Colby has offered to pay for.
    • If the service is eligible and you decide to allow Colby to pay for the visit, you must sign a consent allowing Colby access to information if it is requested.
    • At check-out, our staff will update your visit in order to appropriately bill Colby instead of your insurance.
    • A bill will be sent to the MaineGeneral College Health Practice Administrator who will remove any identifying information.
    • Colby will receive a bill that contains the date of service, the service provided and a MaineGeneral visit identification number.
