Rehabilitation Services

When you need rehabilitation after an illness or injury, we're with you. MaineGeneral offers a complete set of rehabilitation services to help you regain function and independence.

You will find these high-quality, continuous therapies in various settings — in the hospital, our long-term care facilities, outpatient settings and in the home — so we can meet your rehab needs no matter where you are.

Children's outpatient occupational, physical and speech therapy services are provided by our Edmund N. Ervin Pediatric Center.

Services

• Inpatient. Admitted patients at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta can receive physical, speech and occupational therapy services on our medical-surgical patient units and in our Physical Rehabilitation Unit.

We also offer comprehensive therapy services to residents of MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Long Term Care at Gray Birch and MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Long Term Care at Glenridge.

• Outpatient. Individuals can access a comprehensive array of community-based rehabilitation services at our many convenient clinic and practice locations which include:

  • Pulmonary Rehabilitation

• Home Care. If you are recovering from an injury or illness at home, you can receive physical, speech and/or occupational therapy from MaineGeneral HomeCare & Hospice.
