Many athletic trainers are frequently involved in both the physical well-being of their athletes and their mental health. However, the pandemic has taken an already significant concern about the behavioral health of youth and magnified its intensity, leaving many athletic trainers at a loss about how to best guide these patients.
This training focuses on the fundamental understanding of adolescent depression and anxiety, the impact of the pandemic and fundamental recommendations about how to respond within the role of sports medicine.
In today’s world of health care, many individuals and health care providers are choosing alternative methods to treat many physical and mental illnesses, including the use of cannabis and CDB oil. Most athletic trainers are not fully aware of the appropriate uses for these substances or their effects on healing and athletic performance. This program will discuss the medical use of cannabis and CDB and look at current literature regarding these substances.
