- For the last decade or more athletes of all levels have used kinesiology tape (KT tape) to treat, manage, or help prevent injuries. From professional athletes to weekend warriors, kinesiology tape is a widely available resource with many benefits for both chronic and acute injuries. However, most medical professionals, including athletic trainers, do not have the necessary training to apply this tool correctly for specific conditions and are missing the potential benefits kinesiology tape may provide for their patients.
-By participating in this program, athletic trainer will be able to identify conditions or injuries that would benefit from the use of kinesiology tape. The athletic trainer will be able to utilize the proper application of kinesiology tape to aid in the treatment and management of specific sports injuries, and create a plan of care, which includes the use of kinesiology tape to help meet the patient’s goals.
